• AAIFA is a federation of 38 local associations throughout Alabama representing nearly 2,000 members.
• AAIFA is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the national arm of both state and local associations. NAIFA encompasses a membership of over 65,000 persons involved in over 900 state and local associations throughout the country.
• AAIFA is a liaison for activities between local national associations and state government agencies.
• AAIFA is the collective strength and influence of its members in Alabama and the nation.
• AAIFA was until recently,  the only state association, to date, that had won the prestigious Five Star Award presented by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) for excellence in all established performance areas. This award, established in 1995, was presented to AAIFA in 1996 and 1998. Now, AAIFA has won the Six Star Award.
